Newhey Carpets

CarpetworksUK Ltd were delighted to have been asked once again to install Newhey commercial contract carpet to the first floor corridors and stairwells within the West Wing at the prestigious Taigh Mor Luxury Castle Apartments and Cottages Complex.

Taigh Mor is a magnificent Victorian building set within breathtaking scenery in the heart of the Trossachs and it is truly a delight each time we are asked to visit to carry out our works.

The carpet chosen for this installation was from Newhey Carpets. Designed and manufactured in the UK, Newhey Colortec is made using 100% recycled backing material along with high end quality wool rich pile yarns that provide outstanding durability.

As the carpet is manufactured 4mtrs wide, CarpetworksUK Ltd took great care and time in planning out the areas keeping waste to a minimum, whilst ensuring that there would be minimal joins required. In fact there were no cross joins in any of the corridors or landings and all seaming at widths were done using Silva-Seam jointing tape - a safer and far superior system than heat seam tape.

Our carpet fitters, Kenny and Jimmy installed new carpet on contract hair underlay using gripper and replacing old dull door trims with new anodised metals.

CarpetworksUK were delighted to have been asked back to Tigh Mor to supply & install the new library carpet.

Chisholm Hunting Tartan carpet was chosen for this splendid room, along with a contract grade quality underlay.

Tigh Mor Trossachs, the 'big house in the Trossachs', was a sadly neglected former hotel when it was rescued and restored to its former glory. Following a multi-million pound restoration and development programme, Tigh Mor emerged every bit as magnificent as it was in its heyday when Queen Victoria stayed there. Today it provides a choice of outstanding holiday apartments and cottages. With magnificent views across Loch Achray, Tigh Mor offers a romantic introduction to the magnificent scenery of Highland Scotland - a land of craggy mountains, deep-cut glens and shimmering lochs, purple heather moorland and green forests.
